The Ottawa Marathon is an annual event. Runners from all over the world flock to Ottawa to participate in this festive city event which passes close to Parliament Hill. There are actually several other smaller or more challenging races which form part of the total package. Choose your race and run it!
Guests and citizens gave huge support keeping the runners hydrated in the Spring warm-up to Summer! This year the temperatures remained fairly low, giving runners a little reprieve. Then there was earlier excitement in Ottawa when a sinkhole opened up on Rideau St. The sinkhole was sealed and the races went on without a hitch! (see race pic caption)
Our TrailSpots eyes were on the ground, of course!
So, here's a peek at what we saw. To be sure, there was much more!
Ready, set, go!
