T&T CARNIVAL COOL-DOWN: Maracas Bay or ...

Maracas Bay, Trinidad.  After Carnival cool-down ... the crowd will be there for sure! Ash Wednesday and beyond ...
Actually, any beach will do.  While Maracas is the 'magnet' beach in Trinidad, many choose peace and quiet, elsewhere on the islands!

#'GONE GREEN' IN GRENADA ... AD./POST 1

'GONE GREEN' ...
Gifts from Nature by Denise

This ad./post would not be complete without the story behind the business ...

Denise Phillip started her journey in the tourism business over 25 years ago in Grenada.  She was one of the original beach vendors on Grand Anse Beach.  She sold souvenirs under a sea-grape tree.

In 1998 the government built the Grand Anse Craft and Spice Market and Denise moved her business.  But as the years went by, the world was changing and so too was the tourism industry.  Visitors wanted to buy natural gifts and not plastic.  Denise knew if she wanted to survive, she had to change her business and change her lifestyle.

I, Angela Vanderhoorn, am co-creator of 'Gone Green'. Denise and I have been friends for over 20 years.  Our friendship began with a sunset and a local drink.  We both love to comb the beach for nature's treasures that wash up along the shoreline. When Denise decided she needed a fresh approach to her business, we put our ideas together.

Sea-glass Butterfly
We knew for quite a few years that we had a nice collection of sea-shells and sea-glass. Sea-glass are pieces of broken bottles smoothed by the tides, sand and time. Sea-glass is a natural treasure of the Caribbean islands, but today, sea-glass is a rare find. So, because of the rarity of sea-glass, we decided to use this as our feature item.

Denise is the jewelry and style designer as well as store owner. It took us 1 year to transform Denise's store into 'Gone Green'.  Denise makes other natural gifts.  She makes jewelry and home decor using volcanic stones, driftwood, seeds and shells

'Gone Green' is located on the northern end of Grand Anse Beach at the Craft and Spice Market: Store # 11
Come by and browse through our unique gift items.

Mention that you saw our ad. on 'Trail Spots
(T-Spots!)' and receive a free sea-glass pendant

Custom made sea-glass jewelry is available upon request.

Visit us @ www.gonegreengrenada.com or like us on Facebook  @  www.facebook.com/gonegreengrenada

'GONE GREEN' looks forward to hearing from you and seeing you on your next visit to the Grand Anse Craft and Spice Market in Grenada!

Come on over to 'GONE GREEN'!
