TWO PICS; TWO WORDS ... MONKEY BARS!

AIM'S at it again!   Please understand that I'm a big fan!

Up on the roof-top, the newly constructed monkey bars are challenging the warriors.  The 'Hardcore Caribbean' event in August 2014 will put them to the real test.
Everyone is getting pumped up and embracing the AIM wellness warrior spirit, under Damien's watchful eye.  'Hardcore Caribbean' ... it's almost here!

Now lady, climb that rope and swing!  She's good!

ONE PIC ... WALK ON PITCH

The Pitch Lake in La Brea, on the south-western coast of Trinidad is a major source of natural asphalt, which is used for paving roads.

It is also a popular tourist attraction which fascinates persons who want to walk on warm pitch, even if it means getting blackened, sticky feet.

Fortunately or unfortunately, the Pitch Lake extends far beyond what can be seen above ground.  You can therefore be certain when you have arrived in La Brea.
The road surface undulates and vehicles meander, as drivers try to find the least 'wavy' spot to pass.  Houses and other structures are not excluded from this slow underground movement.  One might say that this has also become one of the 'attractions' for visitors, but a never-ending 'headache' for residents.
Attempts to control 'the road wave' is an on-going project!

From the Lake, a few minutes' drive further south will get you to Vessigny Beach, which is featured in the previous post, (http://trailspots.blogspot.com/2014/06/hola-vessigny beach.html).
Once you get there, you will then enjoy a front seat view of the Gulf of Paria.
